I noticed the hardware had more air and life to it unless it just louder then the plugin track. I like the sonalksis though. Is this your fave compressor plugin? A hardware comp will almost always be better than a software comp IMO, but as software compressors come the Sonalksis is pretty cool, and fairly close with these presets I think.

When I'm not using my hardware units that is The Sonalksis comes really close to the hardware version but I prefer the transient response on the kick with the hardware compressor. God, i thought that the gssl kicked the living crap out of the sonalksis. If you would like to use the FreeG plugin you should also use the Sonalksis Plug-in Manager Application to install it.
