Zip zipper waders

The process has been used for years with great durability. The fabric is a 4-layer waterproof breathable fabric that is flexible yet durable — in fact, these are the most durable waders made by Redington. The Sonic-Pro HD line is pretty solid overall in both design and overall fit and finish. The same goes for the excellent Redington Prowler Boots — they fit slightly large, too. The reported wader inseams are spot on. The L. Only available at L.

Shop L. Fans like the durability and cool overall designs. You get waterproof, breathable 5-layer lowers with lighter 3-layer uppers, lots of pockets, articulated knees, a couple splashes of bright yellow zippers over very dark grey fabrics. Only available at Dryft. You get micro-fleece lined handwarmer pockets, a flip out internal zip pocket, and the adjustable suspenders let you convert the waders to waist-high waders.

One of the best features of the Aesis is the wide variety of sizes — for instance, you can get a true bootie with extra long inseams, which we very much appreciate.

Aaron verified owner — February 21, Bought my Girlfriend a set of these and i bought the wadding pants for myself used them on the Deshutes and Metolius last weekend and we both chose to throw are simms out. Joshua Low — January 31, I fish hard. Bushwack through brush, hike miles, freezing temps, saltwater ect. Not only do these waders hold up through it all, they are comfortable and allow for excellent movement.

Quick email response times. John Markham verified owner — January 20, I received them right away. No problem there. I was over all very impressed. Went out right away and fished in them. Zip Front very cool. I stayed nice and warm and dry. So far, so good. The next day I went out again. I went to put my licence in the little flip out pocket, went to zip it up and the zipper slider came right off.

Other fisherman are always asking about them. I told him what they were and that they were great. Nick Satushek — January 20, Thanks for leaving a review, and sorry to hear about the zipper slider breaking on the flip out pocket. Thank you!

Daniel M. Zackuse verified owner — January 12, This waders are awesome! I cannot see a reason to spend I also got the set for my wife, I purchased a size small for her and they fit her perfect and still she has room to layer for those cold days we have during the winter months. I totally will recommend to friends and family. Eric verified owner — January 9, I got the kracken waders and primo jacket with the face mask combo for christmas. I was super stoked on them.

Went fishing and they were pretty amazing. Other then that they are awesome. Stay warm and dry all day. Ford verified owner — November 22, The customer service is just as amazing as well! Purchasing another pair from Dryft in the spring! Chris Pinksron verified owner — November 6, Very Very Very Impressed!!!!! I was truly amazed with the fit and comfort as well with the easy mobility I had. The Pockets and D rings are fabulous and I can really tell that a lot of time and research went into the design.

Kudos Dryft!!!!! Dennis Kelly verified owner — October 29, These wader are great! They shipped fast even to Canada. The front zipper is awesome and the sizing chart was bang on. But when the arrived I was blown away at the quality and craftsmanship of this product. The price was awesome as well.

I will most likely be ordering the wader jacket soon as well. Such a comfortable product and super durable. Albert Bekus verified owner — October 25, As an 80 year-old trout and Atlantic salmon fisherman, I have been wearing out and buying waders for over 60 years. I did, and tried them out on the Miramichi this October What a grand surprise! The Primo Zip front is by far the best waders I have used regardless of price.

The fit is perfect, the comfort luxury, the zipper flawless, and they are actually easy to put on and take off! What else can an old guy ask for? I will next try them on some heavy tail waters here in Tennessee with a friend of mine, who is also in the market for a new pair of waders.

Nick Satushek — October 25, Fish on! Roger Case verified owner — June 30, The delivery time was super quick after I ordered the waders. I used the sizing chart and the fit is great. I highly recommend them!! Dennis k Wholey — June 27, I never get binding and have walked many miles in these through brush as well… the outside pockets promotes as hand warmers is a very far stretch as they hold water after your chest deep….

John Morgan verified owner — June 22, Looked around at the various manufacturers waders with zip fronts — some were a little frail in construction and others were ridiculously expensive. However, the waders were at my pick up point waiting for me.

Contacted DRYFT and asked about ordering the next size down and being able to try both incase the re-order foot size was too small. Have to say absolutely top notch customer service. I had a reply within a couple of hours saying no problem. Paid for the second pair and they were with me within a couple of days luckily I could borrow a pair of waders to wear meantime returned the orginal pair obviously unused and my account was credited within a few days.

Good fit the foot size was fine and comfortable, nicely thought out layout for pockets, and robust construction. Happy to recommend this product and manufacturer. Ken Friesen verified owner — June 18, I have a hard time buying things unseen. Hands down these are the best waders I have owned. Buying these waders online is not a mistake. Great quality, excellent fit, light weight, and more comfortable than expected.

Well worth the money. Mike verified owner — May 10, It took me a while to decide to buy these waders — its was a leap of faith for me since I had never seen a pair in the flesh but the reviews I read were good.

So far I have been really impressed with these waders — the construction is very solid. They slip through briar thickets far better than I would have imagined. The neoprene feet are thicker than my old waders so I had to retire a pair of Simms boots before I lost a toe nail, but I think that was more of an issue with the dimensions of those boots snug toe box. They are warm without being noticeably hotter than any other waders I have had.

I was concerned about the darkness of the fabric, with respect to heat, but that seems like it is a non-issue. Shipping was really quick. Tony Perpignano verified owner — April 19, So far I am really liking these waders a lot. Out the box they perform as well as the expensive waders. My only mistake was that I should have ordered a Large Short.

I like the way the designers arranged and thought about all the pockets, very smart….. Really no reason to buy the expensive waders anymore. Yah at this price point I will remain a customer…. Eric Sorenson verified owner — April 18, They have held up fantastically. The pocket configuration in these is excellent and extremely well thought out. The gravel guards are great and the strap and belt is very comfortable.

Bean etc.. Good job. Thanks for a great affordable advanced wader option. Dominique Moreno verified owner — February 13, After doing tons of research I determined the primos were pretty much the exact same wader as the g4z minus the gortex material and were half the price.

Definitely excited to put these to the test this upcoming year If everything goes to plan i will be ordering a jacket to match the waders. Don verified owner — January 15, Update to my original review! I have remained comfortable in this gear! Definitely worth every penny! I have tried many, many different kinds of waders at variable prices. First let talk comfort. Super comfortable fit, not to tight not to loose. At times these rivers get very cold in the winter like right now.

Thanks to the quality of material they keep me very warm. I fish around a ton of structure from. Sticker bushes, branches, rocks. I have tested these waders in extreme conditions after to find not a single nick or tear in them.

This is the quality am I am talking about. Lets talk accessibility and convenience. Like many waders most have a pocket or two. The Dryft Primo front zip waders have many pockets, including a completely waterproof inside detachable pouch that is perfect for your phone or fishing license.

Do yourself a favor before buying a different type of wader. Buy These you wont regret it. Don verified owner — December 23, Bought these the first of December for Washington State winter steelhead fishing! They are warm and seem to be well constructed which is great because I travel through all kinds of brush to get to the fishing holes.

Jeff Youtz verified owner — November 15, Well designed for functionality, tough and warm, I specifically got these waders for the zip front feature. I am 65 yrs old and do a lot of fishing in an Outcast float tube, in which you sit pretty high and out of the water. Great waders, great price. Keep up the good work. This front zip waders are fantastic for the very confrontable and have plenty of pockets for your gear and belongings. Very warm inside so no worries there.

For the money these are more then worth it and would recommend them to everybody. Adam verified owner — September 9, The Dryft waders are high quality with all the functions of the top end Simms waders but half the cost.

I also like the color scheme. Wading belt is designed to stay in place with enough loops so It dosent fling around like other waders ive had. Dan Graham — September 8, Now I will say this, my near death experience times 2, was due to me Texan not wanting my buddies believing that I was freezing by proverbial buttocks off, due to the amount of water that I was taking on in my waders.

As hypothermia was knocking at my door I decided that it would be best to move to a warmer area. I did, water getting in was easy, water getting out was not so easy. I struggled to get my waders off and longed for a pair of waders that I could just simply zip off! After struggling with what seemed to me a really long time, shivering and trying to get waders full of water off make for pretty good comedy, I assure you of that.

Being the really smart guy that I am I decided I needed insulated waders. You know, cause the water is so stinking cold that you just drop your beer in the river and it becomes a frosty beverage. These insulated waders caused this poor ole country boy to well, sweat at a rate that should only occur under two circumstances. So, I did what any good American would do.

I got my smart phone out and asked siri…naw. Really, I saw an ad, let it sink in for a while. Read these great reviews that told me how much they loved the waders ect.

I have to admit, I was excited as a school girl who just made the choir when the package came. The mail man was not to thrilled that I was about to take off my blue jeans and try these on at the post box!

I tossed them in the truck and promptly headed out to the lake to fish. When I put them on it was nice to know that if I needed to I could get them off in a tight situation.

I was worried about the zipper, but I spent the better part of an hour with the zipper submerged and not a leak. So, all in all. I hope that folks make it through this review and at least see that you make one hell of a product. The Patagonia Swiftcurrent Expedition Zip Front Waders are certainly different in some areas where compared to other waders on the market.

Patagonia uses Durable H2No throughout the entire wader while adding a slightly thicker measure for the legs. We have seen Patagonia utilize this material for waders in recent years and we are quite impressed with its durability. This enables the consumer to give back to the environment when choosing the Patagonia wader. There are two hand warmers towards the front, including two water resistant pockets.

Two interior pockets give an angler even more space for tools, boxes, tippet, etc. In terms of comfort and reliability, Swiftcurrent waders are again, one of the best on the market.

A great product backed with a lifetime warranty; Patagonia will keep you on the water for years on end! As we work our way down into the more affordable, entry level zip front waders, we could not do it without showcasing the Redington Sonic-Pro HDZ Waders.

These waders incorporate a no-frills base with useful and proven pocket locations and the TIZIP waterproof zipper to keep you dry. Redington has built a tool dock directly into the waders, for holding nippers, hemostats, and whatever else might strike your fancy.

The fleece lined side pockets on both sides come in handy on the cold days, while a pocket on the right side of the chest has just enough room for a smaller fly box or few fly shop pucks. Sonic Pro HDZ waders are also equipped with a waterproof pocket allowing safe storage for keys, a phone, or anything else you want to keep dry. This feature is fully detachable. To ensure durability, these waders come with 3. The DWR coated nylon is thick and durable, giving you peace of mind from rips and tears.

All in all, these waders may not have all the comforts of some of the higher end zip front waders, but what they lack in amenities, they make up in price. However low on frills, Hodgeman offers a very functional and affordable wader system. Two micro fleece pockets keep your hands warm while the flip-out internal storage pocket will keep your valuables safe with its zippered pocket.

Featuring sonic welded seams similar to Redington waders , Hodgeman rises above and beyond with 5 layer DWR coated nylon in the legs and 4 layers in the chest for breathability. The Swiftcurrent suspender system has generous padding and is super comfortable. You also get an interesting waist-high mode. When I was first fitting the waders to my shoulders, I had a hard time understanding why the rear strap was stretchy.

If you adjust the slider to the correct spot, when you put the waders on, the back will be completely high without wrinkles in the fabric.

Meanwhile, the front of the suspenders have a release buckle on each strap. If you pop the buckle, you can shove the waders down to your waist. For hot days, hiking, and taking a lunch break, the waist-high mode is a welcome feature. Plus, you have the burly zipper to bend and shove down, too.

You get two hand warmer pockets and two outside pockets for fly boxes or fly fishing accessories. On the inside, Patagonia has two large stretchy pockets big enough for larger fly boxes or miscellaneous gear. You also get a flip-over waterproof pocket. This is a good spot for non-waterproof electronics. On the other hand, because you have a large main front zipper, you can easily unzip the front to get to your car keys, wallet or phone in a pant pocket.

I stow it in the waterproof pocket in case I need it — for myself or a fishing buddy. When we first ran into knee pads in waders at Man Makes Fire — in a previous generation of Patagonia waders, actually — we thought knee pads were just a gimmick for high-end waders. The Patagonia Swiftcurrent knee pads are perfectly sized.

Patagonia has been making great booties for years, and the new Swiftcurrent booties are still great. The built-in gravel guard cuffs are trim and drain fast to help keep you from bringing water into a drift boat. The inside sections are made from a heavy-duty fabric to resist scuffs. You get essentially the same construction and materials that are in the zippered version.
